The Fisheries

 

Our resort is located in Canada about 25 miles east of Fort Frances/International Falls on Highway 11, about 5 miles east of the intersection with Highway 502 to Dryden(We have a highway sign here).  We are a couple of miles off the highway near the end of Bear Pass Road.  You can see we are near the middle of the lake when you visit the picture of the lake map found on the information page.

Know the Rules for Rainy Lake

 

Non-Residents of Canada are allowed:

 

Daily Limit of 1 (one) Walleye

with a possession limit of 4 (after 4 days stay)

(Conservation 2)

Between 35 cm and 45 cm (13 ¾“and 17 ¾")

1 trophy can be over 70 cm (27 ½")

 

Northern Pike

Maximum of 4     (Conservation 2)

None to be between 70 cm (27 ½ ")

and 90 cm (35.4")

 

 

Crappie 

Maximum of 10   (Conservation 5)

No minimum or maximum size

 

Smallmouth Bass

December 1 -June 30 Maximum of  2

under 35 cm (13 ¾") (Conservation 1)

July 1  -   November 30 Maximum of  4

no slot

(Conservation 2)

 

 

Muskie, Lake Trout, and Perch have specific rules listed in the fishing regulations.

 

Licences must be purchased for any non-resident who is 18 years old and over.

All licence holders must buy or have a 3 year Outdoors Card
